# Tiers

In this section of the WhitePaper we will touch on what the various rolls are in The OCA and how they will function -

#### Founding Members

These are the two projects that dreamt up the idea of The OCA and are building it up to be a vibrant EcoSystem to better DeFi and beyond.

#### Genesis Members

These are our earliest adopters and hold voting rights within The OCA, where new members will have to pass a majority vote to be entered into the alliance, ensuring that only the most trustworthy and innovative of projects are accepted. The founding members do not hold extra authority or voting power in this process. Ensuring that it is a truly fair and equal system. Over time if members from tiers below this prove to be exceptional members, further votes will be held to incorporate them into the Genesis tier.

#### Alpha Members

This tier is reserved for those who have been accepted into The OCA and through dedication and vigour have proven their value to ascend the ranks and become valued members of the alliance.

#### Emerging Members

These member are new to The OCA and are budding projects looking to grow and bring transparency to the space.

#### Further information

Some but not all projects joining The OCA may begin in higher tiers depending on how well established they are in the space and also on the level of credibility they hold.
